General Rules

Deadline for communications has been extended to June 15

The abstract should be summited through the Abstract Submission Form at the conference website. In the application, you must fill in the following information: title of the presentation, names of authors, institution, postal and email addresses, and a summary of communication in Spanish or Portuguese (maximum 2500 characters) accompanied by an English version (maximum 2,500 characters).

You must be registered for the meeting in order to make a presentation. A maximum of three presentations are admitted per each register participant. The presentations can be oral (one maximum) or poster. The Scientific Committee will have the final decision about what presentations will be oral.

The acceptance of a abstract does not imply any financial support.

Platform presentation rules

Oral presentations should be given in Spanish, Portuguese or English.

Electronic PowerPoint or PDF presentations are strongly recommended as the formats for presentations. The congress organization will guarantee the media for these formats only.

Review your presentation on a different machine from which it was originally prepared to ensure the backgrounds, transitions, video clips, graphics, and linked images appear properly.

The total time assigned for each oral communication is 15 minutes. It is highly recommended to keep the presentation time in a maximum of 10 minutes, leaving 5 minutes for discussion. If you consume the 15 minutes in your presentation you will not be allowed to take the questions from the audience. After 15 minutes, speakers will be invited to leave the platform.

Submissions must be copied to the computer of the audience the day before, early in the morning or at the latest during the coffee break immediately before the meeting which is scheduled presentation (each speaker receive a message with the date and time scheduled).

As general style recommendations, use a font size large enough to make your presentation readable from the back of the room, do not charge slides with text, use graphs rather than tables, but avoid very complex graphs that require much time to be understood; prepare your slides to communicate ideas, not details (if attendees want details, let them ask you in the discussion period). Use horizontal position (landscape) for all PowerPoint slides.

Poster presentation rules

Posters must be written in Spanish, Portuguese or English.

Poster orientation should be portrait, not landscape. Poster size should be 800 mm x 1000 mm.

Minimum font size for all text: 18 pt. Text and graphics must be readable from 2 meters away.

The text and graphics should be legible from a distance of 2 meters. Use simple background. The minimum font size for all the text is 18 pt. Use bullets and put little text.

Use bullets and keep text to a minimum. Use simple backgrounds; do not distract from the message. Aim for clarity and simplicity; avoid overloading the poster with excessive text and data. The poster should be understandable without oral explanation.

The Secretariat of the Congress will receive the code for the poster indicate the number should be placed on the panel. Posters will remain on the panels from its placement until the end of the session on Friday afternoon. Each author is responsible for upload and remove their poster at the time indicated. The materials needed to hang posters panels will be provided by the organizers of the congress.
